Direct Care is a Walk-in Urgent Care and Wellness Clinic. We realize your health can’t wait.   Our mission is to offer a convenient and quality experience with affordability. We will gladly accept walk-ins.  

Direct Care is an Urgent Care and Wellness Practice located in Boone, NC. We offer same day clinic visits without the wait of a traditional Urgent Care and for a fraction of the cost. 

Direct Care charges a flat fee of $120 which includes in clinic testing, evaluation, and prescriptions. Essentially, for the cost of a co-pay you can get medical care without the worry of a bill arriving weeks to months after your clinic visit.  For those with insurance, the simple fact is your Insurance Company will not pay their part until you meet your annual deductible. This could mean thousands of dollars will be required for you to pay first before they pay their part of the medical costs.   Further more,  they reduce their re-imbursement if your healthcare Provider is out of network. The cost of covering your own medical expenses  falls on you with high deductible plans, even if you have insurance.   Considering the cost of an Urgent Care visit ranges between 200-800 dollars, it is no wonder people delay medical treatment, having an affordable alternative can be truly life saving.  We believe no one should have to choose between medical costs and medical care. 

For those that have private insurance but want to use our services, we make the process as easy as possible. Not only do you get the same low costs afforded to our non- insured patients, we also supply you with an itemized bill that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. We have links on our website that take you to your insurance carrier’s re-imbursement page to make this as easy as possible. We do not bill your insurance, therefore if you have Medicare or Medicaid we recommend you use clinics that accept this insurance.
